Coffee at origin

Presence where coffee begins
Coffee at origin is shaped by territory, people,
and the specific conditions of each region and harvest. At Massif, origin is not an abstract
concept but the environment where the work happens every day, alongside producers and partners. This constant presence allows the
team to understand variability, anticipate
change, and support real-time
decision-making.
The result is coffees with a clear identity and
supply relationships built on continuity and
trust rather than convenience, giving roasters
and importers reliable access to differentiated coffees produced responsibly and consistently
at scale.
This approach was built through more than two decades of work in Colombia, where Massif’s founder arrived in 2005 to develop clean energy, impact finance, and rural development projects. Working across diverse landscapes from the
Andean highlands to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and alongside Indigenous communities, farming families, and cooperatives, he gained a
deep understanding of how land, culture, and community shape agricultural systems.

As a natural resource economist, he applied agroforestry, native species, and diversified
cropping systems to show how ecological
resilience and financial performance can
reinforce one another. Today, Massif applies
this thinking across the entire supply chain, providing financing and logistics that reduce
risk, increase transparency, and support
long-term partnerships from farm to market.
